The paint kit consists of a coloured basecoat and clear coat topcoat. The paints are made from waterborne automotive paints, which are packed in brush cap bottles - ideal for touch-up repairs.
Primer/filler
Depending on the size and type of damage, you might need to use a primer/filler to achieve sufficient adhesion of the paint.
Order primer if any of the following conditions apply:
- The damaged area is larger than 1 sq cm / 0.15 sq inch
- The naked frame material is visible through the old paint
- You can feel surface unevenness around the damaged area
Thinner
Only if you are planning to apply the paint with an air brush or paint gun (not included) do you have to order thinner to dilute the paint. For normal application, a brush cap bottle is included with the product, helping you to create invisible repairs.
