Note: this product contains a transparent base coat. In liquid form the base coat is white, but it will dry out as transparent.

The paint kit consists of a transparent base coat and protective gloss/matte top coat. The paints are made from waterborne automotive paints, which are packed in brush cap bottles - ideal for touch-up repairs.

Thinner

Only if you are planning to apply the paint with an air brush or paint gun (not included) do you have to order thinner to dilute the paint. For normal application, a brush cap bottle is included with the product, helping you to create invisible repairs.

Not a good experience

Took forever to arrive, no shipping tracking. The clear coat for a gloss bike paint finish that came with the touch up kit was Satin finish—complete useless. Overall waste of time and money.

Great touch up paint for bike scrapes and scratches

Took a fall on my new Specialized Epic resulting in several major scrapes and scratches on the non-drive side chainstay. I called Specialized to see if I get some touch up paint and they referred me to Rotaris. They had the right model paint (on a great online paint model index). I was surprised that they provided a three stage application-primer, paint and gloss. The primer helped fill in the gouges and the paint was a perfect match. The gloss was a nice finishing touch. Of course, looking closely you can still see where the scrapes were but if not looking closely you’d never know. The product is applied like finger nail polish so it is a bit difficult to make smooth, even strokes but overall, looks pretty good. This product apparently comes from the Netherlands so it took a while to arrive to my U.S. address. But now my bike is restored fairly well and the surface is well protected.
