Ceramic Protection

PROTECT YOUR BIKE PAINT

Our Ceramic Coating protects your bike's paint against water, dirt, salt, (micro) scratches and UV radiation!

What is Ceramic Coating?

A ceramic coating is a high-quality protective gel that acts like an extra shield to better protect your bike paint against damage.

The gel creates a hard layer around any solid object and closes it from outside influence that could harm the paintwork.

Why use Ceramic Coating on your bike?

The standard paintwork on your bike is not designed to withstand outside influence from weather, dirt and sunshine. So overtime your bike's paintwork will suffer from stone chips, scratches and UV radiation.

Ceramic coatings stop this from happening by creating a transparent, hard layer around your paintwork, which help keep the paintwork looking fresh.

Safe, easy to use & eco-friendly

Tests have shown our product is safe to use at home, even without mask or gloves. The pump dispenser makes it easy apply the right amount of gel.

The product is made from water-based gel, causing no harm to the environment compared to solvent-based coatings.

Step 1: Wash your bike

First, you have to degrease, clean and dry your entire bike. Make sure all dirt is gone and dry your bike with a soft cloth.

Step 2: Prepare the surface

Use a soft cloth and alcohol wipes to make sure the surface is free from any degrease.

Step 3: Apply the coating

In this step you'll need the coating and a clean microfiber cloth. The coating bottle has a pump dispenser. Apply one pump at a time. The coating will create a thin, clear but visible layer.

Step 4: Wait

Let the coating dry for 3 minutes. Afterwards, gently wipe the coated areas with a clean cloth to remove excess coating and leave a perfectly polished protective layer.

Nano vs. non-nano coating

Most ceramic coatings available are developed for the car detailing industry, being used by professionals in expensive paint booths with great protective equipment.

These coatings are usually described as 'nano', which means the individual particles are smaller than 1 millionth of a human hair. When applied correctly, nano coatings can last for several years.

But there are serious health risks associated with nano coatings when inhaled or absorbed by the skin.

Rotaris non-nano coating

At Rotaris, it is our goal to support the home-mechanic, so we offer a ceramic coating that is easy and safe to use at home, because it doesn't contain nano particles.

  • Safe to use at home, can be applied without mask or gloves.
  • No nanoparticles, eliminating the risk of harmful effects from inhalation or skin contact.
  • Environmentally friendly, by using a water-based gel. Free of solvents and other PFAS chemicals.
  • Lasts up to 9 months.
